The 7th Annual VJMC Charity Picnic is a free picnic put on by Ma VJMC field reps Jack Delaney and Dave Richter with the generosity and help of friends and members. It is held annually in May at the beautiful Look Park in Northampton, MA. www.lookpark.org
Look Park is a great place to bring a family so please see the attached link and consider having the family come along. We think you will be well pleased.
Although the picnic is entirely free except for park admision which is now $7.00, we do have a donation jar at the head table. All donations will go directly to the Shriners Childrens Hospital. Its a wonderful organization that has been treating any child for free for many years. They have fallen on hard times lately so our effort is greatly appreciated.
We will line up our bikes along the road for our enjoyment and that of the park visitors. In the past few years we have drawn as many as 80 plus bikes.
Although this is a VJMC event it is open to all interested parties. We usually get a wide variety of vintage bikes of various makes as well as some new bikes.
Please see the poster (5MB PDF) and link to Look Park for details. Please be considerate of park visitors especially the many children and (ducks)and obey the very low speed limit.
See you there, we'll have a good time then.

Road America is adding new event features to its annual vintage motorcycle weekend. The Road America Vintage Motorcycle Classic will mark the return of the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) with the addition of motocross and cross country and trials on courses built specifically for vintage racing. "Road America is acknowledged as a world-class road racing facility. When we discovered that the property had hundreds of acres of prime off-road terrain, we were pleased to add AHRMA National Off-Road events to the traditional schedule of road racing," said AHRMA Executive Director David Lamberth. Road America has a large motorcycle racing fan base and always encourages vintage motorsports enthusiasm. Track president George Bruggenthies is pleased with the expanded event, "The world of vintage motorcycling is a vibrant, diverse family that includes, collectors, restorers and enthusiasts who just love to ride old bikes, as well as racers. We're throwing a family reunion," he stated.
Other race-weekend features are being added through a partnership with longtime motorcycle events producer Will Stoner. Stoner is coordinating a swap meet, club corrals and a moving bike show. "I'm excited to have the opportunity to do a swap meet and bike show in such a fantastic location. The swap meet area is one of the best I've seen, the roads are fantastic and Wisconsin hospitality is great," Stoner said. The swap meet is open to all brands of motorcycles, but is limited to bikes, parts, memorabilia and tools. The on-site bike show will include judging with awards presented in 13 classes and a leisurely 40-mile ride through the scenic Wisconsin countryside. Club Corrals will be open to all vintage motorcycle clubs and organizations wishing to have a corral spot on Club Row. The spaces will be free to any club that registers by June 2, 2010. Clubs will be able to park their bikes, sell memberships and club regalia, as well as have a picnic for club members. Participants only need to purchase an advance event ticket to use the Club Corrals.
Participant information for the swap meet, bike show and club corral is available by contacting Will Stoner: 440-591-5099, willstoner@classicswapmeets.com. Other event details will be posted as they become available, at www.roadamerica.com.
Road America is a 640-acre, year-round motorsports facility entering its 55th race season. In addition to major race events, Road America offers motorcycle and supermoto schools, corporate ATV and karting programs, and top-of-the-line hospitality. Season Passes, which include the event listed above, are $370 through Feb. 15, 2010. For up-to-date event information visit www.roadamerica.com or call 800/365-7223.

One of the secrets of Indiana is that some really good riding is in the Southern part of the state. Bedford, Indiana is in the heart of the hills caused by the glaciers ten thousand years ago and provide challenging riding that is not beyond any rider.
There will be rides that are ideal for the smaller bikes as well as others. There will be a Motorcycle Rodeo based on the "Ride Like A Pro" CD put out by Jerry Paladino. Get the CD and practice and show us your skills on Saturday. This will be followed by a Banquet Saturday night with the featured speaker, Dick Klamfoth, 3 time winner of the Daytona 200.
As of November 2009, plans are still being formulated, but now is the time to mark your calendar and plan to be with us for some great riding fun AND some good Southern Indiana cuisine.
